![]() When I wore the headset, the boundary was incredibly small, so I think it was misconfigured. This time, I didn't have to, so I thought we were good. The last 2 or 3 times I had to take the headset around the room and redraw the boundary. One problem I've noticed with the Odyssey+ (maybe this is a Windows Mixed Reality issue now that I think about it), it seems to forget the boundaries every time I get her to play. It's almost as entertaining watching her play as playing the game myself. I'm watching her play on an old 27 inch 1080 monitor, so when I put on the headset, it's just amazing how great the immersion is. She asked me to play one spot because she wasn't sure where to go. I don't want to screw up her progress but I really want to play through the game again. I only get her to play maybe 1 night every other week or so, for an hour or 2 max, so it's slow going. She's playing on "Story" so she didn't even die, it's just the initial "oh shit! Oh shit, I'm out of ammo! Oh shit, how do I reload like naow?!!" that I went through too. She got into a room with some zombies and headcrabs ambushing her and kinda lost it, I felt bad but it was hilarious at the same time. I did get my wife to play some more HL: Alyx this last weekend though, and it was pretty great. If you get a HOTAS, I'm guessing Elite: Dangerous is worth it, although I still have yet to try it. It's one of those game where I'm fine lookup up some "quick tips" for new players.Ĭlick to expand.Half Life: Alyx Half Life: Alyx Half Life: Alyx Half Life: Alyx!!! The game does an extremely poor job of explaining its mechanics and throws you in the deep end quickly. It's a flawed game, but it's a very visceral experience. I just started The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners. I gave a longer review in the "Adventure Games Thread". It's a simpler game and expensive for how short the game is. ![]() The Room VR is a good addition to the series, but the bar was set really high by Old Sins. Multiplayer is several months away for most platforms, but there are currently some community events and integration. So, you better like that one trick a lot. ![]() I'm enjoying Tetris Effect as a nice short-play game. It nails it's one trick very well, but I'd see myself getting tired of it rather quick. For as much hype as Beat Saber gets, I found it a bit of a thin experience. Try the Superhot and Beat Saber demos first. ![]()
